What's Your "Y"
Interview with Terence Doston, professional baseball player for the Milwaukee Brewers Organization
Give us a brief background of how your fitness/sport journey has evolved?
Fitness and sports has been part of my life since a kid. It’s what I do all the time. I’m always ready for any challenges that I come across because I train my my mind and body to always finish what you start.
Who has been your main source of motivation over the years?
My family and myself.
Where do you find more motivation: doubters or supporters?
I find more motivation through doubters. They don’t know the hours I put in, the sacrifices, and they’ve never walked in my shoes.
What is the biggest mental challenge you've had to face in your sport and how have you conquered that?
A mental phase I had to get through was just not seeing results with all the work I put in. I overcame it by being patient and more consistent and just believing in what I can do.
What do you do to make sure you're physically and mentally prepared for competition?
I make sure my body is loose and while stretching I make sure I drop sweat so adrenaline can get going. Mentally I just go out and try to have fun.
Tell us about your recovery strategies.
My recovery strategies are cupping my hamstrings for more blood flow to my legs and taking a protein shake. To top it off I take 2 scoops of YOLKED (in the morning sometimes, too).
What's Your "Y"? What keeps you going and training as hard as you do?
My “Y” is the younger me that played baseball and football since the age of four. All the fun I’ve had, the relationships I’ve made and just overall how a game changed myself as a player and a man.
Where do you see yourself as an athlete in 5 years?
In 5 years I see myself on a major league roster somewhere pursuing my dream... And owning a gym.
“Stay True to Yourself”
I’m Team YOLKED because I love the product. I love how it makes my body feel and how it works. And the taste is phenomenal.
